Math Class - Zen master in action
I just saw a great post on Shotgun Daddy that triggered a thank you for the zen master of the house.
To me math is one of those mysterious things that only few can master. It has be an obstacle in my life.
We are considering sending our 1st one to the democratic/open school when she will get to 1st grade.
I don’t know if it will stand the test of the real world because we are who we are and a major part of us is our parents believes and "values", and mine are fucked up even thought I fight them every day. I don’t care if she likes math, nature or literature as long she is happy. I know its all theory but at the end of the day isn’t that what matters?
I have to admit that I’m lucky to have wify in so many ways but only now I realize that the main reason she got into my life 9 years ago is for one reason only - to shoosh away the math phobia that I have.
Today I saw how it’s done. It was like watching a zen master. All it took was 6 organic cotton balls and imagination. The rest is history. Amazing job baby, thank you for not letting me fuck her math life.
