Please explain to me your country

A friend of ours went to drop her son at the daycare.

When she arrived they were outdoor at the park and she of course went there and gave him to the caregivers.

When she saw that everybody was there she decided pure hearted to take a picture of all of the kids and then

she sent the parents the pics.

She received thank you emails.

"You made my day", " Oh, it is great" etc.

The following day she came to the daycare and the teacher pulls her to the side and said that she can't take pictures anymore

because some of the parents complained that………….. SHE INVADED THEIR PRIVACY.

WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THIS COUNTRY ? PLEASE OH PLEASE SHADE ME SOME LIGHT ON THE MATTER.

It’s a private daycare where people come and put their kids their because they want them to be in a small, intimate and caring (at least I hope that that’s what people wish for their kids) environment.

What did she do wrong ?

Why can't those parents call/email her saying blah blah blah ?

I wrote a lot of stuff but I erased it because it came out bitter and too angry, but please someone explain to me.

  1. That’s just plain ridiculous. It’s not like she was posting them on the internet or something. She sent them to the parents. People really need to lighten up.

  2. People in this country are losing their minds; everything is a crime and everyone knows a lawyer who will sue for them. Whatever happened to being nice to people for the sake of being nice?

  3. People are insane. I've had a ton of people take pics of my kids over the years at day care and give me copies. It’s great because they get to be there on field trips and I don't and I want my kids to have those photos of their time in day care.

People just over think things. They are worried who will get the pics, but really it’s not like that woman is selling them on ebay.

  4. Read about the american culture of fear…
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Culture_of_fear
That is the root of the picture problem, American Paranoia.
    So much fear…

But thanks for the comment on my site…

"I agree with you that only by really loving what you do, you can truly succeed. and I’m not talking only financially.

What they didn’t talk about is the family side. Maybe it’s me being a “visitor” for the last 3 years to this country, and maybe because I’m not a corporate guy but how come no one ever ever mentions family when it comes for success ?
How come none of those people have families ?
I’m sure they have but is it really a family when you are on the road as the big shot CEO for most of the year ?

Again, maybe it’s just me but isn’t it weird ? "

These people do have families but many times they emotionally abandon them.

When I was a child most men didn't care for families, they just brought the money home. That was it. No emotion and little real intimate family involvement. That was the culture I remember from the 70s and 80s. It is still in full swing.

    It’s about priorities…

    Power
    Title
    Money

    or

    Love
    Family
    Honor
    Duty
    Service

I find that success lives in Love, Family, Honor, Duty, and Service.

  5. It’s a messed up world, and we're all a little too paranoid. My kids school does the same, but they have us sign a waiver at the begining of the school year. The kindergarten teacher was more paranoid about it than the rest.
What do parents think will be done with pictures of their kids? It’s not like they're celebrities, or some crap like that. I just want to tell them all to get over themselves. This really ticks me off, it’s so silly in the grand scheme of things, with all the worries we have as parents. Having a picture of our kids taken should be the least of our worries.
